NoiZ guitar duo was formed in 2007 at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and consists of Dora Nakou and Pedro Izquierdo. Both guitarists studied with renowned profesors such as Eliot Fisk, Ricardo Gallén and Marco Tamayo. Since their debut in 2009, they have regularly participated in international festivals and chamber music series in Europe and the Middle East and have collaborated with prestigious organisations such as the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, the Cervantes Institute in several European countries, the Megaron Concert Hall in Thessaloniki, and the Spanish embassies in Berlin and Tehran, among others.

The duo's repertoire covers a wide range of styles, from Baroque to popular and contemporary music. Their transcriptions of works by Scarlatti and Albéniz have been published by Ediciones Eudora. In addition, they have worked closely with composers, premiering works dedicated to them by Konstantin Vassiliev, Simone Fontanelli, Agustín Castilla-Ávila, Rubén Parejo and Orestis Kalampalikis, exploring new sound possibilities and expanding the language of the duo.

NoiZ guitar duo has two albums, Portraits (Mozarteum University, 2009) and dos (KSG Audio, 2014), and has participated in Agustín Castilla-Ávila's monographic CD Aufs Paradies (Salzburg, 2016), alongside other performers. Their recordings have been broadcast on national stations such as ORF (Austria), rbb Kutlurradio (Germany) and ERT (Greece).

Dora Nakou and Pedro Izquierdo currently reside in Berlin, where they combine their artistic activity with teaching, and their research into original repertoire with the transcription of significant works for guitar duos.
